A Note from the Photographer

Since as long as I can remember photography has dominated my thoughts, striving to know more and fulfill the emotional vision of those who hire me. Early on, photographing weddings gave me the opportunity to capture true love and build a solid clientele. After ten years of photographing out of my house I took a risk, and in 2001 and opened "Something Blue Photography" in a studio space. I have never looked back. I've covered at least 500 weddings, and during one event a flirty groomsman became my husband a few years later.

Since weddings were a big part of my start, I will never turn one down however naturally the demands of portraits became more of my reality. High School seniors, babies, families and corporate headshots are my regular calender now.

Three things I can’t live without ( besides my family ) Roller Skating, laughing with friends and onion dip. And really not in that order!

We have two AMAZING kids that we couldn’t be more proud of, participating in sports and focusing in on their academics. Most importantly they are carving out their own path to find their interest! Being a Mom has helped shaped my creative instincts in ways I never imagined.

Something Blue Photography is a full-service professional photography studio originally in Portland for 25 years and recently relocated to my hometown West Linn, Oregon. We specialize in milestone moments in your life, no matter how small or how big. These moments are important to us and we’d like to hear about your ideas. The studio boasts a wide variety of background types and texture, props, professional lighting as well as a beautiful outdoor portrait garden. Off-site sessions are popular and available at no extra charge.
